"The sector has been, for the longest time, split up inside its core and a few veins, there have been wars over dominion a hundred years ago or so, but they ended up dividing even more then they could pull together. The main two forces are the U.S.S.P. (United Soviet Socialist Planets) and the B.S.R. (Blessed State Republic). The factions have been at blows even prior to the time when the Human Empire crumbled, or so they claim, but it has never escalated to such a state as it is now. Though most have forgotten, B.S.R. still explores and finds new worlds in the sector, to colonize and use in ways that are benficial for most of the sector."
